Informed choices…10 truths that we believe you should be aware of before choosing us!
1) Our business is built on friends and family - both staff and patients -who says family and friends shouldn’t work together? It is our foundation from our family to yours.
2) Saskatchewan licensing allows therapists to do fillings and simple extractions and assistants to do cleanings on children. Whether you are an adult or child all our fillings, restorations, etc are completed by dentists and all of our cleanings by hygienists. The fees for these services are based on the procedure not the provider.
3) All our procedures are priced according to the Saskatchewan Fee Guide developed by the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan. It is possible for an office to charge fees above this guide. Therefore, if you have 100% coverage, you will not receive charges over and above this as insurance offers 100% coverage of the fee guide only!
4) We accept your insurance as assignment of payment which is not required! Payment for your treatment is your immediate responsibility, as is trying to get reimbursed from your insurance, however we will assist you in this process and in most cases wait for payment directly to us from your insurance plan so you don’t have to. You are however responsible at the time of treatment for any portion that your insurance does not cover.
5) We are located where we are accessible for all. While at times the convenience of having us in your backyard may be nice…this is not convenient for all…you may move, but it is unlikely that we will! This also allows us to provide access to a team and a network of support of conveniently located allies, services, and amenities medical and dental related or other.
6) We are a team. If one of us is unavailable due to holidays, illness, or there is immediate need from multiple patients we have the flexibility to offer the assistance of another team member to ensure your needs are met.
7) We try to be as environmentally conscious as possible while ensuring the physical and psychological wellbeing of our patients and staff.
8) The materials, technologies, and procedures we choose to embrace, recommend, and offer as options are based on the best interests of the patient and proven research. We offer the latest in diagnostics and premium materials at our expense to ensure high quality, while maintaining responsibility to the profession and patient by not embracing gadgets or gimmicks at the patients expense until proven valuable. There is a time and place for most things, never a one-fix-all, and every situation is unique.
9) While much of our office may be newer, we have a long history. We pride ourselves that our patients are always assured continuity and access to care.
10) The first 2 years running of the Consumer Choice Award in Saskatoon…the community chose us (Midtown Dental) for the winner of the dental category. Thank you! While this would be primarily due to the people, facility, and care provided, the above background conduct of our business unknown or now known would be just as instrumental.
